Casey & Molly’s 2022 Wedding Celebrations
Our story…
It all started when Molly was working part-time for the Chicago Transit Authority. Working at the same “L” station each day she noticed an incredibly well dressed, handsome man on his hustle to work. (Psst, this was Casey) The weeks of watching Casey from afar turned to months as Molly’s crush grew greater. She would often dream of meeting him, going on dates, and introducing him to her dog Harper. One blistery Chicago morning, Casey was rushing on the nearly empty L platform when he slipped on the wet floor. He fell towards the tracks violently hitting his head on the way down. Molly, seeing he was injured and in imminent danger, rushed to pull him off the tracks. The head injury was pretty severe causing Casey to be hospitalized where he slipped into a coma. Molly would go visit him each day waiting for him to wake up. Her crush turned to love as she began to meet his family and friends while they visited. She learned about the real Casey - how wonderful he is to his friends and family. She learned of his big heart and genuine compassion for those around him. Molly helped in his recovery and when Casey finally woke from his coma and saw the love Molly had bestowed on him then he too fell in love.
lol, ok…. that was While You Were Sleeping…
The real story is… Casey met Molly one summer evening in Chicago. They started chatting while both out with friends. When the rest of Molly’s friends arrived and she started to walk away, Casey asked for Molly’s number. She hesitated because he had insulted her by calling the Texan native a “cowboy.” But Casey was persistent! She eventually gave him her number. He asked her on a few dates before they went on their first date. (at Parson’s!) Molly lured him to Logan Square down the street from her favorite local spot. She wanted to make sure he was worthy before taking him to her favorite place in Chicago - Best Intentions. After proving himself as charismatic, funny, and “not creepy” Molly decided to take him to her second home/go to spot. On the way they saw a city worker guarding a plot of newly poured concrete sidewalk. “Challenge accepted,” Molly thought as she walked over and started convincing the nice man to let her sign her initials into the wet concrete. As she was signing her “ME”, Casey came over and added a “+ KC” next to her. The ME+KC tradition was born. This first date was the best and last first date for them both. Since that day they have traveled together, biked hundreds of miles, watched countless sunrises, learned to make kombucha, and most recently packed up their lives into a couple of bags to be nomads together.
